Head of Global IT - Cybersecurity-Focused

Objective: As the Head of Global IT, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the company's global IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on cybersecurity. You will ensure that the IT operations are aligned with business goals, comply with regulatory requirements, and support the global strategy.

Reporting to: Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Key Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

• Lead the development and enforcement of policies and procedures to ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with global regulatory requirements.
• Implement robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard the company’s digital assets from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Continuously monitor and assess cybersecurity risks, ensuring proactive and reactive measures are in place.

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

• Develop and execute a forward-thinking global IT strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and addresses future needs.
• Lead and mentor a diverse, global IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, security, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement cutting-edge technology solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency.

IT Infrastructure Management:

• Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of a secure, scalable, and reliable global IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.
• Ensure IT systems' security, reliability, and scalability to support seamless business operations worldwide.

Budgeting and Resource Management:

• Develop and manage the global IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources without compromising security.
• Optimize IT spending and investments, balancing innovation with the need to maintain robust cybersecurity measures.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet stringent cybersecurity standards.
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements that deliver high-quality, secure, and cost-effective IT services.

Project Management:

• Oversee the planning and execution of global IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and with the highest security standards.
• Implement best practices in project management to enhance success rates and stakeholder satisfaction.

Innovation and Technology Adoption:

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, cybersecurity trends, and industry developments to drive innovation within the IT function.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies that provide a competitive edge while enhancing security and business processes.
• Serve as a technology advisor, helping the business leverage technology securely on a global scale.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications in ITIL, PMP, CISSP/CISO, or other relevant certifications.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a proven background in managing global IT operations and with strong hands-on technical experience.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing IT strategies globally, with a focus on cybersecurity.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise applications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically, with a keen focus on cybersecurity.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in cybersecurity contexts.
• Experience in budgeting and financial management.
