About the Role: Reporting to the IT Manager, you’ll take charge of leading and mentoring a small team of desktop support engineers across Australia. From troubleshooting issues for 400+ internal users to driving key technology projects, your leadership and technical expertise will be critical to maintaining exceptional service delivery and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire: Mentor and guide a team of five desktop support engineers, ensuring high-quality technical support and professional growth.
- Tech wizardry: Support users with Windows 11, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and manage escalations efficiently.
- Collaborate and innovate: Work closely with the IT Manager and Systems Administrators on server support, infrastructure maintenance, and IT projects.
- Service excellence: Oversee ticket management, prioritize tasks, and maintain top-notch client service, adhering to ITIL principles and SLA commitments.
- Proactive problem solver: Address technical challenges across desktop, mobile devices, and network environments, delivering seamless user experiences.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven leadership: At least 12 months of experience leading or mentoring IT teams, with a knack for fostering collaboration and achieving exceptional outcomes.
- Technical expertise: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, with deep knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, and Office 365 administration.
- Client-focused mindset: A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a professional, solutions-driven approach.
- Problem-solving finesse: Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues with a proactive, can-do attitude.
