Our client is a reputable legal tech business seeking a Legal Engineer to join their collaborative team. Due to growth, this is a newly created permanent opportunity reporting to the Chief Product Officer.

They are looking for a key subject matter expert and open to candidates based either in the UK or North America as this is a remote-first opportunity. 

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the Client Success Managers and Product team to help evolve their platform and demonstrate its value to their clients.
• Guide product development, client strategy and broader business direction using your legal expertise.
  
• Contribute insights into the Sales and Marketing teams, helping stay ahead of the market trends and client needs, while shaping their positioning in the legal tech ecosystem.
• Deliver engaging, tailored demonstrations—virtual and in-person—that validate client challenges and clearly articulate the value of our platform to stakeholders at every level, from end-users to C-suite.
• Partner with Sales and Client Success to drive client engagement throughout the customer journey. Facilitate demos, trial programs, and create strategies that boost adoption, usage, and ROI.
• Gather and interpret user feedback, explore unfamiliar workflows across legal practices, and provide strategic input to guide product development and business direction.
• Act as a go-to expert for legal and transaction domain knowledge. Help internal teams understand the market landscape and our customers’ needs.
• Build and present compelling use cases that showcase impact. Create materials that clearly communicate the platform’s capabilities and benefits.
• Support product innovation by identifying and exploring partnership and integration opportunities with tools such as document and entity management systems.
• Represent at key industry events and build a strong network of advocates and champions within the legal tech space.

The successful candidate:

• Legal Expertise: 2+ years’ experience as a lawyer or professional in corporate transactions, litigation, dispute resolution, or other relevant legal fields. Experience in a legal tech or client-facing product role is a strongly preferred.
• Exceptional Communication: Confident presenter and storyteller, able to translate complex features into clear value-based narratives.
• Technical Curiosity: Comfortable working with product and engineering teams. Eager to learn and translate client needs into product requirements.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Adaptive, inquisitive, and quick to grasp unfamiliar workflows. Solutions-oriented with a flair for thinking differently.
• Strong Organisation: Highly detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with clarity and focus.
• Innovative Mindset: Entrepreneurial, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to shape the future of legal tech.

Highly desirable but not essential:

• Experience working on canvas-based or visual collaboration tools
• Familiarity with AI technologies like NLP or OpenAI tools
