Legal Engineer / Banking & Finance Lawyer - Sydney
Banking & Finance lawyer (5–8 PQE) eager to fuse law, Automation + AI. Join a Sydney start-up as Legal Engineer to drive onboarding, feedback, and adoption of an AI-powered legal platform.
We are partnering with a well funded, fast growth start up with an incredible automation platform, powered by AI. The Banking & Finance Solution is about to go live and the new team are seeking a Legal Engineer to join.
As the inaugural Legal Engineer at a fast-growing, well-funded start-up, you will be the Product Specialist/ SME in Banking & Finance. You are a Banking & Finance lawyer, within a specialist mid market or top tier firm and possess deep knowledge of processes in the Banking & Finance legal domain.
You will be eager to apply this experience and your passion for technology and AI in new ways. You are naturally curious and happy to apply this knowledge and ask pertinent questions to understand their specific workflows and uncover bottlenecks, pain points and customise requirements.
As the subject matter expert to clients, run pilots, focus on seamless onboarding and guide the ongoing adoption of the solution.
Your role will help drive the adoption, utilization, and long-term expansion of this incredible, new-to-market automation solution, powered by AI.
This software platform is easily customisable with accuracy and superfast turnaround, so can be adapted to any law firm's or in house team's internal processes with expedience.
About the Role:
Build trusted, long term relationships as the Banking & Finance SME with law firms and in-house counsel.
Design tailored onboarding programs for clients and ensure regular cadence and engagement.
Translating legal workflows into actionable product feedback
Work closely with BDM's, Customer Success Lead and internal product developers and team to maximize platform value, customer experience and the renewal process.
About You:
5-8 years PQE in a law firm and / or in house roles.
Deep expertise in Banking & Finance law.
Based in Sydney or willing to move to Sydney
Can demonstrate skills and passion for innovation in law.
Ideally exposure in the roll out or adoption of legal tech / AI within legal teams
Can thrive in a start up environment which is fast paced and sometimes ambiguous.
Work hybrid from fantastic office near Circular Quay. This role comes with a great salary and share options post probation.
